Tustin Chamber of Commerce is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Tustin, CA

The Tustin Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Office Administrator to help lead this dynamic organization.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with relevant administrative experience and the desire to learn to take charge of the organization's day-to-day operations that include general office duties, maintaining positive relationships with our business members, organizing/planning & attending monthly events and meetings, and other related tasks as they arise. This is a flexible position that requires someone who excels at adapting to new situations and handling all duties in a professional manner.

The Tustin Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization located within the City of Tustin. Our mission is to preserve the free enterprise system; to preserve and expand the potential of all business and professional enterprises; and to promote the civic, cultural and social well-being of the City of Tustin and surrounding community. Special consideration will be given to those who are familiar with Tustin and the surrounding areas.

Hours: 35 - 40 hours a week; flexible (with occasional mornings, evenings and weekends depending on event schedule) Prefer M-F schedule but willing to work around school schedule.

Duties:

  • General administrative support such as answering phones, data entry, filing, and copying
  • Scheduling and attending monthly meetings for the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Ambassadors and Economic Development Committee
  • Point-of-contact for new, existing and potential business members; maintain positive attitude at all times and help explain chamber membership pricing/benefits
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (via Quickbooks)
  • Help update and maintain company website
  • Maintain new and renewal member packets for Ambassadors
  • Design and compose emails for distribution
  • Coordinate, organize and attend all chamber events

Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Administrative experience (1-2 years preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while adhering to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience and or Understanding in Wordpress (preferred)
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Social media marketing experience a plus
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
