JOB SUMMARY
The Supervising Case Manager reports to the Program Director and is responsible for the supervision of case management staff, and case management service delivery at the Golden State Residential Reentry Center (RRC).
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Function as a member of the Golden State RRC leadership team. Assist in reviewing, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating all program services.
- Maintain compliance with all contract requirements and standards within the Federal Bureau of Prisons RRC Statement of Work.
- Provide direction and training to staff to ensure understanding and compliance with existing agency policies, procedures, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) RRC Statement of Work.
- Oversee data input within the Federal Bureau of Prisons R3M system, run reports to ensure accurate data entry.
- Ensure staff, residents and visitors comply with program policies and schedules.
- Review and audit case management services, employment services, resident files and resident progress.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and familiarize new hires with FBOP RRC SOW, agency policies, program procedures, safety protocols, illness prevention, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Provide ongoing evaluation of supervisees, and give regular feedback on work assignment priority, accuracy, productivity, service quality, time management, career development, and any other functions related to work performance.
- Serve as liaison and agency representative to foster consistent communication, collaboration and partnership with the Federal Bureau of Prisons Residential Reentry Manager (RRM), FBOP Contract Oversight Specialist (COS), USPO Department, community organizations, and providers.
- Provide and facilitate Program Review Team (PRT) meetings to ensure a multi-disciplinary team approach is utilized to determine resident program needs, encourage pro-social behavior and monitor resident programming.
- Oversee medical services to ensure residents are provided the opportunity to access medical care and treatment. Assisting residents to maintain continuity of medical care and treatment in accordance with FBOP SOW.
- Ensure the timely submission of reports and billing.
- Oversee all case management, employment, and medical activities and services for residents as required by the FBOP Statement of Work.
- Will drive on Agency business as needed.
- Manage cell phone use so that the Agency cell phone stipend covers all business usage. Any calls not covered by the stipend are to be made on a company landline phone.
- Ensure direct staff follow the agency's timecard, PTO (Paid Time Off), and California's rest and meal period policies. Will monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed accurately.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Four-year degree in a social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience in a related field. Work experience may be substituted for academic studies exchanging one (1) year of work experience in a related field for one (1) year of academic education. Total work experience needed in lieu of the combination of education and work experience is six (6) years.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
- Current certified training in emergency First Aid and CPR procedures, preferred.
- Ability to write substantive and grammatically correct reports.
- Ability to work with residents and staff members of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and databases.
- Operate modern office equipment, including computer equipment and specialized software application programs.
- Prepare, review, and present reports, recommendations, and other correspondence and communications in a clear and concise manner.
- Be on-site at the assigned location during regularly scheduled work hours.
- Must complete at least 40 hours of assigned training on an annual basis.
- Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
