Description
The Radiologic Technologist is primarily responsible for operating radiographic equipment to obtain and process radiographs of client anatomy, maintenance of radiographic equipment, and maintaining licensure of equipment. Assists with objectives, goals and client services relating to the Tuberculosis Program.

The following functions represent the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (_95% of Time):_
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS - NON-ESSENTIAL (5% of Time):
1. May review with the TB physician on film quality.
QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates degree preferred with two years of training in an accredited hospital. Must be a current student of, or a graduate of, an approved school of Radiologic Technology and Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible.
Experience: Two years of experience as a radiologic technologist.
Knowledge and Skills:
Licenses: Must be a current student of, or a graduate of, an approved school of Radiologic Technology and Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Regular physical effort required in lifting medical supplies weighing approximately up to 25 pounds. Work assigned schedule while being punctual.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:
Direct Supervision – None.
Indirect Supervision – None.
Budget/Money/Material – Responsible for assigned equipment.
Reports to – Manager Tuberculosis.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood, and other bodily fluids. Potential minimal exposure to radiation while operating x-ray equipment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
