Location: Miami (Doral), Florida
Salary - From $85K to $95K plus a yearly bonus of performance
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team in Miami. The Junior CPA will work closely with the Controller and accounting team to support various financial tasks and projects. The ideal candidate will possess a full understanding of the accounting cycle, excellent Excel skills, and knowledge of SAP. This position will involve managing perishable inventory costs associated with product distribution from Spain and Chile, with offices based in Miami. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, along with excellent communication skills, is a must. The position reports to the Controller of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the full cycle of accounting.
- Utilize excellent Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Manage inventory costs associated with seafood products from Europe and LATAM.
- Implement innovative ideas to improve processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Utilize accounting software, including SAP, at a high level.
- Collaborate with the CFO on various accounting tasks and projects.
- Assist in preparing monthly financials, reconciliations, budgets, payroll, and managing expenses.
- Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Must have CPA certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of SAP.
- Strong understanding of financial statements (P/L, Cash flow, Balance Sheet) and data analysis.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate leadership potential.
