SUMMARY:

Cleans and stores all dishes and equipment within the F&B department. Main responsibilities are dish washing, transporting food, sanitation, and trash removal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Assist culinary team in all aspects of the cooking and serving process
• Clean and stock supplies, such as, plates, silverware, pots, pans, and other utensils
• Stock cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment to include soap and sanitizer for all dish machines
• Cleans food serving areas, including floors and counters
• Assist banquet team with transporting food and equipment as needed
• Must be able to maintain the proper level of sanitation in accordance with health dept. and Stewarding standards in all kitchen outlets
• Cleans and sanitizes all china, flatware, and glassware
• Sweep and mop floors, sanitize surfaces, polish silver serving items
• Must be able to clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment in a safe manner
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
• Must be able to work inside and maneuver throughout the kitchen areas
• Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures in excess of 115 degrees near dish machine, when assigned for entire shift
• Take out trash and empty bins at dumpster ensuring that trash removal process is handled with care in order to avoid additional expenses from waste management company
• Must follow guidelines for using cleaning chemicals
• Assist with serving food in the team member cafeteria

• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

• Employee is required to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with guests, vendors and co-workers
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow team members as part of the team

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school degree preferred
• Previous experience in a similar position in hospitality industry preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Must be able to communicate in English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
