We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll and HR Specialist to join our client in downtown Milwaukee in an interim/temp capacity immediately. In this role, you will be responsible for managing both payroll and human resources functions using Paychex software. This position can either be part-time or full-time and duration is approximately 2 to 3 months. Please apply for immediate consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 250 employees accurately and on time.
• Managing timekeeping records and resolving any discrepancies.
• Calculating wages, deductions, and taxes based on company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Processing new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employment changes.
• Collaborating with HR and finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Generating payroll reports and providing analysis as needed.
• Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
• Managing employee benefits administration, including enrollment and changes.
• Maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Managing employee leave requests and maintaining accurate records.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• At least 3 years of prior payroll processing experience.
• At least 3 years of human resources generalist experience.
• Experience with Paychex is highly desired.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and HR practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
