Please review the following job description:

Serve as a strategic business consultant to specified lines of business (LOBs), providing financial analysis and guidance to support key decisions and initiatives that may include new product development, pricing, profitability, expense efficiency and value creation ideas, new investment business cases, and potential divestiture or acquisition opportunities. Prepare management information and insights to guide decision making and evaluates financial performance vs. plan, prior periods, and the strategic plan. Support and develop recurring short and long-term financial forecasts and the annual financial plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Support the overall forecasting and planning process for Truist Insurance Holdings. Support and develop recurring short and long-term financial forecasts and the annual financial plan.

  • Compile analyses accurately and completely comparing actual results to forecast, plan, and prior periods for review with the CFO and Executive Leadership.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead communications to the line-of-business forecasting team and actively participate in calls with that team.

  • Lead meetings with leaders of specific corporate functional areas to develop their plan and refine their forecasts. Provide reporting and analysis to the leaders.

  • Enter forecast and plan for specific corporate functions in alignment with guidance. Review forecasts for accuracy and reasonability.

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.

  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training.
2. Five years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis.
3. Ability to take direction and then work independently to complete tasks while considering broader implications or necessary additional analysis.
4. Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Sound and logical decision-making abilities.
8. Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
9. Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products.
Preferred Qualifications::
1. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst
2. Master's degree of MBA
3. Specific financial services or specialized industry experience.
4. Proficient in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or other enterprise accounting software.
5. Experience with macros/VBA.

This position is part of TIH.
