JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Receptionist/Cashier is to coordinate all communications with the public, and assist the District Office Manager with record keeping, cash sales, and paperwork.
SCHEDULE: Part-time Evenings & Saturday's
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers all incoming phone calls, directs them to the appropriate party or takes a message.
- Greets members of the public and directs them to the appropriate party or facilitates their requests.
- Maintains a courteous and efficient image in dealing with the public.
- Responsible for knowing the whereabouts of all employees during the course of business hours.
- Compiles and maintains files of purchase orders to be used to clear invoices for payment.
- Files correspondence such as shipping memos, invoices, packing slips and other records.
- Sorts and distributes mail daily.
- Maintains cash sales daily and sends paperwork to main office, deposits checks, electronically, prepares deposits and processes credit card payments.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Must type 50 wpm, and be able to efficiently operate telephone switchboard.
- Familiarity with trucking industry, computer systems, ten-key calculator, and large data bases.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Excellent, friendly communication and organization skills.
