Position: Summer Preschool Teacher Assistant, 1.0 FTE (3 Positions-.5 FTE, .6 FTE, 1.0 FTE)

Location: Troy Preschool

Reports to: Early Childhood Director

Compensation: At Current Rate, Monday-Friday 7:45 a.m.-3:45 pm

This job will be hired and paid through our third-party contractor

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete the required Global Compliance Network online training modules.
  • Understanding of child development
  • Completion of required Global Compliance Network online training modules.
  • Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high stress situations in a calm and appropriate manner,
while making good decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
  • Must meet criminal history background requirements (requires FBI Fingerprint and SOARS
clearance).
  • Must meet LARA background check-fingerprints.

Essential Job Functions (note this is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position):

  • Assist in daily operations of the Child Care Program, pursuant to state and Districtrequirements.
  • Be responsible for the daily security and oversight of site functions.
  • Work cooperatively with administrators and staff of other district programs housed in thesites.
  • Maintain positive relations with all school personnel.
  • Seek self-improvement and learning, including becoming knowledgeable in program
operations and concepts as described in the parent handbook.
  • Maintain confidentiality for all Center/EDUStaff related information.
  • Work effectively with all age levels and abilities, including children with disabilities.
  • Promote the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
  • Interact with students, parents, staff, school administration, and community members in
positive, supportive, and cooperative ways.
  • Comply with both District and EDUStaff confidentiality policies, procedure and regulations.
  • Inform staff, implement, and monitor all District and EDUStaff policies, procedures, andregulations.
  • Ensure the worksite is safe for students, staff, and visitors. Report any concerns to the Childcare Supervisor· Maintain
professional development requirements as expected for program operation. Represent the District and EDUStaff in a
professional manner by performing all job functions at a satisfactory or above level.
  • Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in positive, supportive, and cooperative
ways.
  • Performs other related duties, including special projects, as required or requested, consistent with reasonable
expectations for the contracted position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit / stand for extended periods of time
  • Continuously required to talk and hear
  • Occasional bending / squatting / reaching / kneeling / twisting
