Located in North Naples off Immokalee Road and Collier Boulevard, this gated enclave of 1,184 condominiums, carriage homes and single-family homes brings a touch of the Mediterranean to Southwest Florida with regional-inspired architecture, lush landscaping, serene lakes, and fabulous resort-style amenities that include Golf, Spa, Fitness, Multiple Food and Beverage Outlets, Resort Pool, Bocce Courts, Tennis, Pickleball and three Community Pools.

General Purpose:

Oversees all Landscape maintenance operations to achieve the highest possible standards within the operating budget. The Ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, passionate, with a strong hands-on work ethic and an eagerness to learn.

Essential Job Functions:

• Knowledgeable about Florida best landscaping practices.
• Responsible for the maintenance, operation and management of Landscape HOA managed assets.
• Prepares annual budget for the landscape department prior to the BOD approval.
• Reports year-to-date variances as it pertains to the budget on a monthly basis.
• Prepares monthly reports as needed. Attends weekly department head meetings.
• Provides direction and oversees all Landscape vendors and HOA employees utilized to achieve Landscape objectives.
• Works closely with and supports Community Association Manager. Assist Community Association Manager and Board in the planning and oversight of project work.
• Conducts regular inspections of turf, landscape, irrigation system and equipment. Prepares reports on a monthly basis identifying deficiencies.
• Provide mediation between landscape vendor and homeowner over disputes.
• Conducts regular meetings with landscape vendors to review performance and address deficiencies. Ensures vendor is meeting all contractual obligations.
• Anticipates needs, identifies potential problems, and implements solutions before the problem becomes an issue.
• Knowledgeable about the use of reporting systems.
• Responsible for hiring and training vendors and staff.
• Provides outstanding customer service to our residents in a professional and courteous manner.
• Purchases and maintains adequate inventory of materials.
• Prepares and recommends capital equipment budgets.
• Advises BOD on Landscape practices and procedures, long and short-range planning.
• Communicates with residents about relevant community issues via written communication and making presentations at community forms.
• Ensures proper maintenance of irrigation system.
• Manages Irrigation Water Quality System to achieve consistent performance.
• Supervises all vendors and staff required to meet overall community objectives.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and reporting.
• When needed, provide RFP tailored to community and aid in selection process of a landscape vendor.

• High School Diploma required.
• Four-year college degree desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of all aspects of Florida best practices for commercial landscape industry including advanced knowledge of local turf and ornamental culture.
• Should have either FNGLA's Certified Landscape Contractor (FCLC) certification or be willing to get certified.

Experience/Background/Knowledge:

• Requires advanced knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance operations and local horticultural management practices.
• At least 5 years of landscape maintenance managerial experience.
• Must be capable of using email and communicating to manage the community.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Physical Requirements:

• Tolerant to Extreme heat or cold.
• Lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds.
• Noise level which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs.
• Heights (Proficient in the use of Ladders).
• Lubricating fluids, cleaning solvents, batteries, etc.
• Cleaning fluids normally used in custodial duties.
• 20-20 vision – or eyeglasses with correction.
• Ability to push minimum 100 pounds (power appliances); ability to lift minimum 50 pounds (trash and supplies).
• Ability to climb ladder and step ladder.
• Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc.

Compensation:

• Commensurate with experience.
• In addition to base salary, compensation also incudes and annual performance bonus potential.
