TRL Systems, Inc is a family owned and operated company dedicated to unmatched service in the Fire Life Safety & Security industry. The Service Technician I helps troubleshoot problems that arise within fire alarm or security solutions. You will help perform routine maintenance, set up monitoring accounts, completing small project installations (upgrading or replacing equipment), system programming, and pre-sales job walks.Essential Functions:Understands technical problems effectively through the proper analysis, evaluation and diagnostic of system issues and determines proper solutions to produce timely resolution.Services existing and/or new customers by analyzing work orders, planning a daily travel schedule, performing troubleshooting and determining a course of action timely.Ensures that Service Ticket accurately represents work performed, reviews resolution with customer and obtains sign off of work performed, uploading to service ticket before leaving the customer site.Possess knowledge of security, nurse call, and fire life safety systems, including but not limited to EST3, Lenel, and AscomMaintain good housekeeping while on the project site by keeping the work area clean and organizedAdhere to all workplace safety expectations, regulations and standardsPunctuality and regular attendancePosition Requirements:1-2 years technical support2-5 years construction/low voltage installationHigh school diploma (or equivalent)Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed). Confined spaces may occasionally be requiredThe base hourly range for this full-time position is $21.00 - 28.00 plus benefits. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all California locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
