As the Fire Test Repairs Technician II at TRL Systems, you troubleshooting, upgrade or replace equipment, and reprogram fire alarm systems.A day on the job:Conduct the repairs of fire alarm systems. Analyze, evaluate and diagnose fire system issues and determine the best solution. Use customer’s failure sheet to complete repairs.Keep service ticket up to date to include billable time and material.Position Requirements:2-5 years construction/low voltage experience1-2 years technical support in Fire Life SafetyEST3 certification (or ability to obtain within one 1 year),Reg IV certifications (or ability to obtain within one 1 year),Reg IV certifications (or ability to obtain within one 1 yearOther Requirements: High school diploma (or equivalentValid California Driver License, and proof of auto insurance.Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).We also conduct pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Federal Contractor regulations and background checks in accordance with State and local regulations.Physical Demands & Work Environment:Ability to drive for 2 hours in a work shift/day, dailyAbility to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, dailyAbility to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variationsAscend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionallyMove/Transport items weighing 20 pounds, occasionallyPosition self to work in confined spaces, occasionallyPushing/Pulling using upper extremities, dailyStand or Sit for long periods (4 hours), dailyWork environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, high rise/mid-rise buildings, and/or medical facilities such as hospitals, doctor’s offices, etc. with patient contact.The base hourly range for this full-time position is $28.00 - 42.00 plus benefits. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all California locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
