Senior Accountant
As a Corporate Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and integrity of our organization. The Corporate Senior Accountant will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, to provide accurate financial information, support decision-making processes, and drive overall organizational success.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Generate and interpret financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Oversee the general ledger accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis, providing insights to support strategic planning.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure the organization's financial practices align with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address any audit findings.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information, provide insights, and support decision-making processes.
- Work closely with finance and executive teams to provide financial expertise in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Stay abreast of tax laws and advise on potential impacts to the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
