Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Cross-Trained Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of both clinical and administrative aspects of our nephrology clinic.

Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Support:

• Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vitals, recording medical histories, and preparing examination rooms.

• Perform basic medical procedures, such as collecting specimens, administering medications as directed, and conducting routine tests.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

2. Reception and Administrative Duties:

• Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive experience from check-in to check-out.

• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries efficiently.

• Verify insurance information and coordinate with billing staff for accurate billing and claims processing.

• Handle medical records requests and ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.

3. Patient Education:

• Provide clear and concise information to patients regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and necessary follow-up care.

• Offer guidance on prescribed medications, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle modifications as directed by healthcare providers.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

• Communicate effectively with medical professionals, fellow staff members, and patients to ensure a cohesive and patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to enhance clinic operations and patient care.

Requirements:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials.

• Proven experience in both clinical and administrative roles within a healthcare setting.

• Proficient in medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
