We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our growing Interventional Medical team.

As Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for recording patient history, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, testing/labs, and patient education. At times, you will also be scheduling office visits, patient check-in, and obtaining records.

Duties:

* Verify patient information; record medical history.

* Prepare patients for examination by performing vitals; record patient history.

* Assist with in-office procedures, includes lifting and positioning patients on examination table, positioning patients for imaging studies. Significant upper body strength is required to fulfill this role.

* Secure patient information and safeguard medical records; complete diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keep patient information confidential.

* Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery.

* Schedule procedures by verifying times with patients; preparing charts and consent forms.

* Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

* Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

* Adhere to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
