Receptionist/Medical Assistant

Outstanding Opportunity for Experienced Assistant to Cover Front and Occasionally Back Office

Join our Team!

Our Family Practice office is in search of a Receptionist/Medical Assistant for our New Port Richey Office.

The ideal candidate(s) will be team players who carry out assigned tasks to assist our providers in delivering exceptional healthcare to our patients.

This employee will run the front desk, schedule patients, prepare charts, interact with other provider offices, and provide other support as needed. In addition, the employee will be responsible for providing occasional clinical support to the provider and patients, maintaining documentation and efficient clinical flow, and ensuring that our patients are diagnosed, treated and monitored to the highest standards of care.

We are looking for someone with a great attitude and solid prior experience. We seek a team member who is very detail-oriented, strong at multi-tasking and dedicated to high-quality care delivery. This is a stellar opportunity with plenty of room for professional growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Appointment scheduling and pre-visit planning with provider
  • Escorting patients, taking vitals and documenting family andmedical history and medications
  • Assisting provider in EHR documentation and orders
  • Making and responding to patient emails, phone calls and messages
  • Working closely with health insurance providers to obtain procedure authorizations
  • Managing physician’s schedule
  • Collaborating with other practices to streamline patient care
  • Ensuring that the physical space is well-kept and orderly

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years of experience working as a Receptionist/Medical Assistant is highly desired (other candidates will be considered)
  • Primary Care experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and scheduling
  • Interacting with medical insurance policies
  • Good communication skills; Spanish language a plus!
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive, friendly and highly professionalattitude
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Self-motivated and creative
