Trimerge Consulting Group is Hiring a Budget Manager Near Miami, FL

Seeking a budget expert with hands on experience managing, producing and finalizing local government budget book in accordance with laws and rule. Experience with OPEN GOV or other budget software is preferred. Work with local government customer to assist them with building their budget process, reviewing their process to develop and recommend improvements. Train and assist their budget and operations team on properly utilizing the budget.

  • Assist with developing the annual budget. Establishes and maintains standard operating procedures to ensure organizational and operational efficiencies concerning the budget process. Develop innovative budgetary concepts that relate to the accomplishment of operational goals. Proficient using ERP Software such as Tyler Technologies and Open Gov systems is a plus. Assist with producing and developing the budget book.
  • Oversees the annual budget process, monitors revenue and expenditures; develops recommendations and justification for adjustments to the budget.
  • Manage the Truth in Millage (TRIM) process and engages with outside agencies for proper adherence to state statutes.
  • Develops the annual budget document in accordance with industry best practices and ensures compliance with applicable State Statutes, including TRIM.
  • Works closely with departments to analyze and forecast both current and future years’ revenues and expenditures.
  • Review the budget process for improvements and provide recommendations, document the budget process, provide training as needed.

Interprets general and special laws in relationship to their financial impact on budget format along with restructuring of departmental activities to coincide with new legislative dictates.

Assist with the preparation and submission of reports required by the local government, Government Financial Officers Association, Florida Government Finance Officers Association, and federal, state, and local agencies. Also assist with the preparation of any ad hoc financial reports for revenue, expenses and reserves as requested by the local government.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
