Overview: Trident Professional Security Event Security Officer

We are seeking a highly vigilant and proactive Event Security Officer to join our team. As an Event Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of all attendees, staff, and property during events. You will be responsible for monitoring crowds, enforcing venue policies, and responding swiftly and effectively to any security incidents that may arise.

Responsibilities:

Crowd Management: Efficiently manage crowds to maintain order and ensure the safety of all attendees.

Surveillance: Patrol assigned areas to identify and address any security threats or suspicious activity.

Access Control: Control access points, verify credentials, and conduct thorough bag checks to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with venue regulations.

Conflict Resolution: Respond promptly to disputes, disturbances, or conflicts, employing de-escalation techniques and enforcing appropriate measures to maintain peace and security.

Emergency Response: Act swiftly and decisively in emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fires, or evacuations, to minimize risk and ensure the safety of all individuals present.

Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with fellow security personnel, event organizers, and emergency responders to coordinate responses and disseminate relevant information.

Report Writing: Accurately document all security incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports for review and analysis.

Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional assistance to attendees, addressing inquiries, providing directions, and offering assistance as needed to enhance the overall experience.

Requirements:

Prior Experience: Previous experience in event security, law enforcement, Military, or a related field is highly desirable. DPSST Guard Card preferred.

Training: Completion of relevant security training courses or certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, crowd management, conflict resolution) is preferred.

Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and respond quickly to emergencies while maintaining composure.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.

Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure.

Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Legal Requirements: Must meet all legal requirements for employment as a security officer, including background checks and drug screenings, and possess a valid security license or permit as required by local regulations.

This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the scheduling of events.

Opportunities for overtime may be available during peak event seasons or special occasions.
