Here at Trident Professional Security our Patrol Officers are classified as our Elite Team. Being a part of the Elite Team is a higher responsibility than being a standed officer in the field. Trident Patrol Officers are required to go through more training than the standard security officer working various locations this is because trident patrol officers also have more responsibilities. This is why when a trident patrol officer arrives on a clients site they are looked to for guidance. Some of the daily outcomes change at a moment's notice. Trident Patrol Officers are expected to and have the ability to:

  • Multitask
  • Make judgment calls
  • Hold accountability for company policies and procedures
  • Ability to know client post orders, rules and regulations
  • Enforcing Rules, Laws and contacting Public Safety when necessary
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the public by responding to emergencies, providing assistance to victims, and reducing or preventing involvement in crime for our clients
  • Skilled at solving problems and using critical thinking
  • Building relationships with the community while helping to contribute to the health and safety of a better community
  • Creating community awareness by using crime prevention methods or intervention.
  • Participating in and testifying at court hearings when required
  • Processing incident reports with accurate detail and factual information exactly as it happened
  • Work with a Team and able to work by yourself
  • Be able to learn and work with technology
  • Learn, Adapt and Overcome - Continuing Education
  • Patrol Operations -
  • Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities -

  • Patrol property on foot, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditions
  • Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents
  • Control and monitor surveillance equipment, and perform building and equipment inspections
  • Key Control and Key Accountability
  • Guard access points, permitting or deny entry,restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during start and end of business hours
  • Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures
  • Secure all doors, windows, and exits, depending on shift

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • Oregon Registered Security Officer (PSID#)
  • Open to working various shifts such as evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Current / Active Drivers License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Helpful, courteous attitude
  • Ability to deescalate situations and prevent harm from occurring
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful or high-risk situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability and desire to work in a collaborative manner with a wide range of people
  • Skilled at solving problems and using critical thinking
  • Knowledge of of Basic Vehicle Operations including:

- Checking Fluid Levels and reporting when due

- Jump starting a dead vehicle

- How to operate 4x4 and 2 wheel drive automatic vehicles

- Some Tire Knowledge (Air Pressure and Worn)

- How to Apply Spare Tire

  • Ability and Willingness Learn, Adapt and Overcome - Continuing Education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with computers, and aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems
  • Law Enforcement Experience
  • DPSST Armed Certification
  • Security Patrol Experience
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR/BLS, and Self-Defense
  • MMPI - Psychological testing, if armed or otherwise required
  • Be visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
  • Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately
  • Must be able to adapt to last minute changes / and or / make choices at a moment's notice.
  • Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
  • Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage
  • Willing to work 4-14 hour shift
  • Physical fit

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
