Trico is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Specialist

Description

Trico is adding a key position to our team- an Inside Sales Specialist. This isn’t a typical inside sales position, and it is not an entry level role. We are seeking a professional who applies strategic communication techniques to understand our customers’ needs and sales opportunity potential.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Analyze multiple data sources to profile a customer and determine the best approach for advancing that customer through the first stages of our strategic sales process. 
  • Initiate outbound calls to gather information from customers about their equipment lubrication & maintenance issues, identify & deliver solutions for their immediate needs, and simultaneously collect information relevant to future needs or potential opportunity. 
  • Develop and present customized proposals to customers by using product illustrations and other sales collateral. 
  • Uses investigative interviewing techniques to gather information and draw conclusions about an end user’s specific problems, motivations, decision making authority, and purchasing process. 
  • Collaborate with teammates who are subject matter experts in chemistry, engineering, and practical equipment maintenance to determine the root cause of customer problems. 
  • Documents all customer interactions in Microsoft Dynamics. 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a business to business (B2B) industrial sales or solutions delivery role.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial lubrication, power transmission, or fluid power 
  • Ability to navigate through industrial distribution channels and end user sales processes. 
  • Willingness to become an expert in industrial lubrication services and products, which includes obtaining industrial lubrication related certifications.
  • The ability to confidently speak with customers over the phone, while representing the company. 
  • Experience using web-based software applications and comfortable with learning and using new technologies.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and balance competing tasks in a changing environment.
