Under the general direction of the Service Manager, the Service Foreman oversees the repair of deficiencies in all types of low-slope and steep-slope commercial roof systems. In addition, the Service Foreman may oversee the installation of small jobs and contract work secured by the company. The Service Foreman is experienced in repairing all types of roofing systems and uses this experience to assist in the vocational training and safety training of Service Helpers. They understand and follow all safety policies of the company and help with the implementation of the policies by ensuring that Service Helpers and Technicians understand and follow them as well.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing dataforma technology to complete dispatches and accurately enter time and materials
• Conducting maintenance and repairs on various roofing materials and protective coatings
• Identifying and resolving roof system deficiencies and leaks
• Communicating effectively with team members and customers
• Ensuring all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are prepared for each workday
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools, including inspection and maintenance of these tools
• Installing, waterproofing, repairing, and maintaining sheet metal/lead flashings, gutters, and related components
• Performing necessary carpentry work for roofing projects
• Safely planning and erecting ladders according to job site and safety standards
• Accurately reporting work time and absences for all crew members using digital tools

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commercial roofing and project leadership
• In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Possession of a valid drivers license
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to accurately follow instructions given by their supervisors.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Ability to work independently and make judgments
• Successful completion of criminal history background check and annual motor vehicle report
• Safe navigation of ladders, scaffolds, and stairs daily
• Ability to carry and set up 32 and 40 ladders for rooftop access
• Flexibility to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and crawl to locate and repair roof deficiencies and leaks
• Capability to lift and carry heavy loads as needed
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting salary at $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
