Tri Valley Car Care is Hiring a Service Technician Near Livermore, CA
We are looking for a skilled automotive technician capable of general repair of vehicles including general R&R, electrical and CEL testing, and drivability concerns. The automotive technician will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them to maximum reliability and functionality. The expectation is to be well-versed in mechanical and electrical systems of domestic and foreign vehicles (very light European, if any), and have good problem-solving abilities. The automotive technician must be a good communicator to provide detailed explanations of work to be done.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

- Inspect vehicle mechanical and electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming at vehicle functionality and longevity
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. water pumps, timing belts, suspension systems, brake systems)
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Ability to multitask jobs when needed.
Automotive Technician Skills:
- Proven experience as an automotive technician 3 years preferred
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical and electronic components of vehicles
- Ability to handle various tools of the trade
- Communicate issues and concerns with service writer and/or manager
ASE certifications are not required but are prioritized over applicants lacking.
