SUMMARY
Provides didactic, pre-clinical, laboratory,clinical instruction, and evaluation in the Dental Hygiene Clinic. Coordinates and evaluates student clinicalexperience. Maintains and enforcesaccepted infection control, health and safety accepted industries practices. Monitors quality assurance to ensurecontinued accreditation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides didactic, pre-clinical, laboratory, clinical instruction, and evaluation in the Dental Hygiene Program
• Assists with the development of policies and procedures related to the Dental Hygiene Clinic
• Updates written policies & procedures, forms, and documents related to the Dental Hygiene Clinic and the electronic dental record system including the Clinic Manual and safety manuals
• Ensures the timely coordination of patient clinic-related requests/complaints, clinical maintenance, student and faculty clinic group assignments and student duty responsibilities
• Maintains, interprets, reports and presents necessary clinical statistics as a part of the Quality Assurance Program
• Updates and enforces safety policies and procedures for the Dental Hygiene Program to maintain compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines & provides required safety trainings
• Ensures regulatory and departmental protocols are followed for instrument processing and infection prevention practices in the dispensary and throughout the Dental Hygiene complex
• Participates in initial & on-going training and calibration for clinical faculty & supervising dentists
• Coordinates health & training requirements related to clinical compliancy
• Assists clinical faculty with instruction & evaluation during clinic sessions
• Attends department, division, and college-wide meetings
• Coordinates semester & daily clinic opening/closing duties with the Program Director & the Dental Hygiene Services Specialist
• Serves as CDCA/WREB Coordinator for on-site regional clinical board exam
• Participates in clinical enrichment activities as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
