Job Description
A top accounting and consulting firm is looking to add a Tax Manager to their Chicago office.
This role is hybrid (2-3 days in office per week).
The Tax Manager contributes heavily in areas of client service, team member development, business development and providing specialty consulting and expertise.
The responsibilities of this position include:

• Providing outstanding service to a wide range of high net worth individuals, executives and business owners
• Demonstrating technical competence in specialty expertise (in Income tax, Compliance, and Planning)
• Managing special engagements/assignments consistently
• Reviewing client engagement/assignment documentation, returns and work papers for accuracy
• Supervision of client engagement/assignment procedures
• Development of team members - serving as mentor, trainer and leader and providing team with performance feedback
• Ability to recognize, research, document and satisfactorily resolve technical issues
• Generate new business and retain current business
• Expand services to existing clients

Requirements
The requirements of this position include:

• Licensed CPA
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
• 5 years in individual income tax planning and compliance
• Ability to research technical tax issues
• Ability to supervise or coach individuals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
