Trench-Ade is Hiring a Branch Manager Near Tucson, AZ

POSITION PURPOSE

The BRANCH MANAGER (BM) is a management position that requires a high degree of independent judgment, critical thinking, and professionalism. Branch Manager assumes responsibility for all essential Branch functions, personnel, financials, building maintenance, vehicle maintenance and sales. The BM makes decisions and defines KPI’s and Branch objectives that have a significant impact on profitability, customer relations and the overall growth of the Branch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Trench-Ades Core Values at the forefront.
  • Responsible for sales/business development. Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with existing customers and developing new business via networking, associations, cross-selling and establishing a local community presence.
  • Set Branch goals and KPI’s.
  • Develop annual Branch budget and oversee the Branch's financial well-being.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to ensure that accurate costing and financial data is being provided.
  • Attend monthly Branch financial and corporate Scoreboard meetings.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop all Branch staff.
  • Act as an ambassador of safety and promote and enforce a safety culture that complies with all federal, state, contract, and company regulations.
  • Direct the overall organization and operations of all projects via direct and indirect supervision.
  • Monitor and oversee daily operations to ensure that Trench-Ade policies, procedures, and work standards are being practiced.
  • Align the Branch with sales teams that can meet deadlines, provide quality work, increase growth, and generate revenue.
  • Responsible for the quality of services provided by the Branch and the Branch relationship with customers, vendors, contractors, suppliers, other Division/departments, and corporate Trench-Ade.
  • Review and approve business development proposals, sales proposals, and requests for proposals. This includes approving the final pricing and agreeing to the overall scope of work for particular customers.
  • Direct and participate in jobsite visits, customer presentations/meetings and contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Create an annual marketing plan that will help the Branch meet its sales, revenue, and business development goals.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Trench-Ade products and services and stay abreast of industry products and techniques.
  • Encourage continuous improvement of processes, procedures, reduce overhead and ensure that employees are aligned with Trench-Ade goals.
  • Create an environment that retains employees and keeps their desire going to return to work.
  • Work in conjunction with Human Resources to promote a positive employee-centric culture, as well as address employee related issues in a timely and legally compliant manner.
  • Liaise with executives, directors and managers on the implementation of the company's strategic and operational plans.
  • Work with Corporate Administration (HR, Fleet, Marketing and Safety) on legal and government matters that arise.

  • This position is directly responsible for managing the Operations Manager and Sales team and indirectly responsible for leading all employees within the division.
  • Train and develop the Branch employees to a level where they can use their individual qualities to take on new roles and grow within the company.

SAFETY

  • This position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the company's drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OHSA regulations.
  • All employees must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position operates at professional construction sites and in professional office environments, requiring the uses of standard office equipment, the ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in-person and over the telephone, ability to read printed materials, signs, computer screens and directions, stamina to maintain attention to details despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner.
  • Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment, and other tools within local, state, and federal safety guidelines.
  • Will be required to work outside, frequently for extended periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

POSITION TYPE/ EXPECTED HOURS

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Work hours will vary and need to be fulfilled as needed to complete the job duties in a timely manner.

TRAVEL

  • Must be willing to travel to any and all jobsites without exception (including staying away from home if necessary.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; formal education is preferred.
  • Three years of sales experience.
  • Knowledge of construction, trench safety or related equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills are required.
  • Extensive experience in sales and sales management if preferred.
  • Experience in heavy construction I preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple people, systems, and processes simultaneously.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of productions/operations that we perform.
  • Must possess knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write in English. The ability to speak another language is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales, sales management, and construction management I required through a combination of education and experience.

Certifications, Licenses, and Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license, a clean motor-vehicle record and must maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check and must maintain a clean record.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P as it pertains to excavation safety is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 as it pertains to confined space entry is preferred.
  • Other certifications, license and requirements assigned as needed.
