Welcome to Treehouse Learning & Development, where we are committed to bringing educational opportunities to community-based organizations. Our expertise lies in literacy instruction, and we also offer instruction in other subjects such as math, science, and social studies.
This summer, we are thrilled to offer opportunities to students attending summer camp in both the city of Chicago and the South Suburbs. We understand that the summer break can lead to a loss of academic progress made throughout the school year, and our mission is to help close this gap by keeping students engaged and learning all summer long.
As an Instructional Specialist at TLD, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction to students. You will work one-on-one or with small groups, prepare for each lesson, deliver instruction, attend training, and report data. Your work will make a significant impact on the lives of the students you serve, and you will be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in the community.

What we seek in an Instructional Assistant are the following qualities:
- You should have a minimum of two years of experience working with children.
- You should be at ease working with students who may be struggling
- You should possess excellent communication skills and have a friendly and approachable personality.
- You should be a self-starter, i.e., you should be proactive and capable of working independently.

Job Descriptions:
- Carry out assigned tasks and provide support under the guidance of head teachers.
- Observe and supervise student progress and behavior during instruction.
- Assist in setting up, breaking down, and cleaning up the classroom.
- Provide one-on-one or small group re-teaching to students who are struggling.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
