Treasury Department Federal Credit Union is Hiring a HR Specialist Near Washington, DC

Summary

Prepare payroll utilizing ADP Payroll system, including collecting time sheets, calculating payroll adjustments and disbursing employee payroll statements. Handle monthly salary accruals and reconciliation of ADP System to actual results. Assist in the overall operation of the Human Resources Department including working with health and life insurance, flexible spending plans and 401(k) retirement benefits. Responsible for posting open positions, prescreening candidates and working closely with hiring managers to complete the hiring process.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

· Work closely with the Department Manager to handle payroll process including but not limited to calculating payroll, calculating payroll adjustments, collecting timesheets, and disbursing employee payroll statements.

· Responsible for tracking, recording and communicating employee usage of vacation, sick and personal days. Responsible to for maintaining the organization’s vacation calendar.

· Work closely with Department Manager to communicate health and life insurance, flexible spending plans, and 401 (k) retirement benefits to eligible employees and to monitor COBRA enrollments.

· Manage office supplies including centralized ordering and expense control process.

· Responsible for posting open positions, prescreening candidates approved by hiring manager for the next step in the process, and scheduling Zoom or in person interviews for candidates that make it to this stage. Work closely with hiring managers to complete the hiring process.

· Handle new employee on boarding, including ensure they have appropriate access and that they receive all required online training classes.

· Assist in preparation of monthly Board materials for the Board of Directors as necessary, including making travel arrangements or making arrangements for food and refreshments.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $21.84 - $29.00 per hour
