Summary The Sales Engineer esponsible for supporting the sanitation product manager in planning and execution of the sanitation business unit agendas. Collaborates to identify, manage, and grow sales opportunities, initiate sales quotations, coordinate customer needs between internal functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technical sales leader for the sanitation business Field general inquires both technical and commercial Coordinate with internal functions to support sanitation product line RMAs Coordinate with internal functions to support sanitation product line engineering requests Liaison to supply chain and operations to champion customer order needs Develop strong product knowledge and become a subject matter expert Participate in onsite product support Commercial customer relationship owner Process and manage customer request for quotes/proposals and issue quotations Manage Salesforce CRM for applicable opportunities Support in the negotiation of contracts and terms and conditions Support project management for commercial and technical needs Coordinate with internal functions to ensure customer satisfaction Support industry trade shows with the broader Wabtec organization Support sanitation business unit manager Support product pricing strategy Support product standardization activities Support annual STRAP and budget activities Support forecasting activities Interface and support sister companies and distributors for sanitation products Support the development and maintenance of marketing materials and collateral Education/Work Experience Requirements Associate’s/Technical degree or 4 years of related experience desired Strong analytical and conceptual skills, mechanical aptitude Self-motivated with high energy and engaging level of enthusiasm Adaptable, team-oriented, and effective communicator, written and verbal Strong computer skills with office software, ERP or SAP experience preferred Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively with a high attention to detail Ability to travel, up to 35% required Sales, Technical Sales, Experience in manufacturing environment preferred Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
