TransdevServices, Inc., is seeking a Utility Worker at its Reston / Herndon,VAfacility.

TheUtility Worker will handle basic shop duties. They will alsoperform detail cleaning and fueling of equipment with limitedsupervision.

Additionally, they will be asked to complete basicforms and fare box duties (i.e., diagnostic, repair, installation).

Responsibilities :

Providessupport to the Maintenance Department and Technicians (e.g.,vehicle washing, vehicle fueling, vehicle seat repair, fluidchecks, etc.

in accordance with establishedschedules.

• Performsuch cleaning duties as sweeping, mopping of floors, and vacuumingof seats and upholstery using appropriate cleaningequipment.
• Cleanwindows, mirrors, and interiorglass.
• Empty trashfrom vehicles.
• Reportdamage, malfunctions and other irregularities of the vehicle toUtilitySupervisor.
• Turn inlost and found articles, putting them in the lost and found cabinetand recording on the sheet each itemfound.
• Followcompany policy and OSHA safetyregulations.
• Positionand stage vehicles in the parkinglot.
• Properly cleanand maintain equipment and work area at the end of eachshift.
• Keeps workersstorage and work areas clean at alltimes.
• Responsible andaccountable for maintaining service and repair of cash revenue fareboxes for vehicles at thefacility.
• Responsiblefor moving or positioning a variety of equipment.
• Will perform basictroubleshooting of farebox system.
• Other duties asassigned for the efficient operation of thefacility.

Qualifications :

1.High school diploma or equivalentrequired.

• 1-2 yearsrelevantexperience.
• Knowledgeof shop safetystandards.
• Must have astrong commitment tosafety.
• Must bewell-organized.
• Mustbe able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Must possess a CDLwith passenger endorsement and airbrakes or be able to obtain aCDL.
• Must beself-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediatesupervision.
• Must beable to work flexible hours orshifts.
• Ability towork on ateam.
