TransCore is Hiring a Production Planner III Near Albuquerque, NM
TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full time Production Planner III to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Job Summary: The Production Planner III plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors production builds through the complete production cycle, including shipment, and communicates issues concerns on product to reporting management. Analyzes sales order requirements, production plans, material availability, manufacturing capacity, and product documentation/requirements to determine product availability dates and establish production schedules and priorities. Support new product introduction from engineering to production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Establishes, communicates and maintains product build schedules.
- Generates work orders to meet build requirements.
- Coordinates builds and resolution of material shortages, issues, priorities, etc.
- Provides inputs regarding the feasibility of the production plan.
- Provides lead time inputs to support requests for quote.
- Manages material moves in areas of responsibility through effective and accurate use transactions within the ERP/MRP system
- Utilizes and actively interfaces with ERP/MRP systems.
- Schedules work orders to meet production ship dates. Assures availability of materials required to support production builds.
- Coordinates work activity for mid to entry level planners
- Mentors other planners
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years related experience.
- Must have excellent problem solving skills
- Must have experience with database software/database
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask
- Must have excellent communication/customer service skills
- Experience coaching/mentoring others
- Experience with MS Office Software
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (i.e. Visibility)
Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or 5 years work related experience.
