Develop customer relationships to effectively sell Transcat services and products throughout North America. These services include calibration and repair, product sales and Transcat’s entire suite of ancillary offerings. The candidate is responsible for growing existing business as well as developing new business in the Power Generation market throughout North America. Engage with the Transcat Power Generation team to achieve the best results for both our clients and Transcat. We are a team-based group and look forward to collaborating with one another to attain the best results possible.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for interacting with customers via the telephone, email, web conferencing and in person.
  • Responsible for maintaining an existing strategic customer base and incremental growth as well as developing new business growth.
  • Achieve or exceed a forecasted sales quota and performance metrics set by management.
  • Work with management to ensure sales processes and sales activities are achieving the desired results.
  • Maintain a positive presence on employer-related Social Platforms such as Linked-in, promoting the Transcat brand and maintaining an ethical presence.
  • Lead generation and prospecting will be required. Make lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone, web conferencing, e-mail and in person.
  • Complete general reporting in relation to quota status. Present monthly and quarterly reports based on results, pipeline, and trending.
  • Is technical and knowledgeable regarding our services while demonstrating a consistent effort to increase job skills in technical proficiency.
  • Effectively overcome business and technical roadblocks to penetrate and generate results within current customer base.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction to strengthen and grow the business relationship. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Accurately enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Proactively perform contract and business review with customers. Keep record of activities and opportunities in electronic sales systems (such as SalesForce).
  • Monitor and report competitive activity and trends within territory
  • Travel to and attend trade shows, sales conferences and customer facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Direct knowledge of the Power Generation market and its customer base. Transcat defines the Power Generation market to included Natural Gas, Oil, Nuclear and the Renewable Energy Industries.
  • Calibration and instrumentation knowledge is a plus
  • Computer and system skills including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Salesforce and A (D&W)

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum BA and at least two years in a role working directly with the Power Generation Market. A combination of Education, Experience, skills, and Abilities will also be considered
