This is a Hybrid position and can be based out of our Chicago, IL or Merrillville, IN office!

Main Purpose

The successful preparation of the proposals is an essential part of sales and business growth resulting in multiyear contracts. As a Proposals Manager at Tradebe, you will work interdepartmentally to prepare and submit RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and investigation skills and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs by coordinating the bid process, preparing technical responses, and conducting financial analysis based on specific proposal requirements
  • Determine overall operational and pricing strategy for each project
  • Generate and review competitor pricing estimates, sales estimations, and contract requirements to submit successful bid submissions
  • Respond to RFP clarifications, best and final request, and contract modifications
  • Prepare and submit vendor pre-qualification requests and customer Requests for Information (RFI) documents
  • Conduct proposal reviews with Directors and Executives within the organization to discuss pricing strategy and contract requirements
  • Prepare and submit "Final Edition" proposals according to details contained within the RFP which may include submitting via customer portal, shipping hard copy, and various other methods of final submission
  • Organize and update pending bid submissions and executed contracts ensuring successful
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to enhance the quality of bid submissions
  • Daily search for suitable RFPs (e.g. using BidSync/SAM and other sources)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Project management or some waste industry field experience preferred
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Communication and organization skills
  • Microsoft Suite experience, Adobe PDF preferred
  • Financial analysis experience preferred
