Tracey Road Equipment is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist for the East Syracuse facility. This person will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, tracking outstanding payments, and collaborating with both internal and external business partners to ensure efficient collections. This role requires an understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction. A successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and proficient in accounts receivable.

A successful candidate:

• Process customer cash, credit card and/or check payments.
• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions to the customer accounts.
• Submit invoices to customers through various customer payment platforms.
• Analyze and create reports regarding accounts receivable aging.
• Research customer discrepancies while serving as a liaison between customers and internal departments to resolve account discrepancies, issues, and inquiries to ensure invoices are paid timely.
• Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Request and compile credit applicant information for credit submission and management approval.
• Evaluate and release credit override requests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of relative accounts receivable experience or associate’s degree preferred.
