Are you innovative and looking to collaborate and develop memorable experiences?!Mill Falls at the Lake is looking to add a Director of Guest Experience to our team!

The Director of Guest Experience manages staff and day-to-day service operations of the Ekal Center, its programs and activations. He/she is also responsible for in-house events and events that the hotel may produce for its guests. The Director of Guest Experience is also responsible for developing hotel packages that are geared to excite and promote hotel booking. He/she manages responsibilities in alignment with senior management. Responsible for quality service, meeting/exceeding financial and service goals, and managing within approved plans and objectives. Contributes to and recommends budget, capital expenditures, inventory controls, sales and business plans, and short/long term planning. Reports, investigates, and resolves violations of internal controls, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate all hotel events.
  • Develop and coordinate activity/event calendar with management and staff.
  • Prepare and present hotel packages to management for approval and assist with implementation.
  • Manage Boat Captions and Rental Shop staff.
  • Seek vendors for outside entertainment bookings.
  • Maintain the booking system Fare Harbor
  • Schedule games and other in-house activities that reflect the resort's needs. Vary the activities to ensure the schedule appeals to as many guests as possible. Activity schedules should not interfere with other resort events and may need to complement other scheduled events.
  • Promote participation during each event.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements programs, classes, and special hotel-wide events/activities that promote a healthy, active lifestyle and fun.
  • Coordinates the planning of all outside vendors and be the point of contact regarding billing, planning, and set up.
  • Manages pool/spa areas with regard to testing, cleanliness.
  • Inputs and reviews ADP payroll system.
  • Attend daily stands ups and weekly EC meetings.
  • Prepare weekly schedules.
  • Responsible for instructions in safety procedures, ensuring waiver forms are filled out.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory and purchasing of water sports and recreation equipment.
  • Responsible for canceling events or shutting down equipment when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to guests.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check daily bookings on computer in Fare Harbor.
  • Clean boats of dew, debris and garbage.
  • Facilitates gassing boats (Meredith Marina, Mountain View Yacht Club and Flight Craft General).
  • Equip boats with towels, blankets and water.
  • Assist cruisers with bookings and collect payment.
  • Help groups onboard boats.
  • Provide children under 13 with required life vests.
  • Ensure boat charters leave promptly on the hour.
  • Welcome guests and give Lake Winnipesaukee Tutorials.
  • Facilitates Pontoon Boats on Island Cruises, Sunset Cruises and Special events.
  • Facilitates Miss Meredith Wooden Boat cruise.
  • Knowledge of navigation of Lake Winnipesaukee
  • Knowledge of Lake Winnipesaukee Broads & Bays.
  • Facilitates weekly and seasonal maintenance at Meredith Marina.
  • Facilitates cruising customers to Sandbars for swimming, Town Docks and Lake landmarks.
  • Assist with equipment rentals, tours, computer bookings, customer service and other duties of Outdoor Activity Crew.
  • Daily pool maintenance, including testing and cleanliness.

Education and Experience:

High school education or equivalent experience. Three or more years of related experience. First Aid required. Captain's Boating License a plus. Must have CPO certification or the ability to be certified
