Description
GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK:
Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, provides facility oversight/management; customer service and administrative support; supervision, management, and leadership of facility staff when on duty. This position focuses on oversight of the delivery of services, information, and assistance to the public. Performs intermediate administrative support work through a variety of office assistance and administrative tasks; does related work as required.
The position requires movement about the facility, requiring the exertion of up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work requires reaching, fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of machines, and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work; on rare occasion, may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Schedule varies and will include early morning, nights, and weekends to meet facility needs.

General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and techniques; general knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic; general knowledge of the organization and functions of the department and of general administrative policies and practices; general knowledge of word processing including keyboarding skills; general knowledge of customer service; ability to operate standard office, personal computer and related equipment; ability to keep office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources; ability to perform and organize work independently; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders. Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail; ability to complete all required forms with accuracy; ability to ensure accuracy in data entry and filing; ability to manage customer service needs; ability to maintain professional manner and composure, in all types of situations; ability to maintain a good rapport with staff, members and the general public; ability to utilize team member support and understand the appropriate time to seek support from other staff; ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing; ability to follow direction; ability to work under limited supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of related work experience including cash handling and building operations experience (ideally in a recreation and/or aquatic facility); or equivalent combination of education and experience, First Aid and CPR certification. Prefer at least one (1) year supervisory experience, current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess satisfactory results of a criminal history background check. Must be 18 years or older.
