Fire Marshal Open Burning Official
REPORTS TO:
First Selectman
GENERAL DUTIES:
The Fire Marshal / Open Burning Official performs all duties of a local fire marshal within the jurisdiction of New Fairfield, Connecticut and ensures that the responsibilities of a local fire marshal are carried out as set forth in the statutes and regulations of the State of Connecticut and applicable local ordinances. See attached job description.
HOURS OF WORK:
Part time position
Weekly hours depending upon demand for service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
CT State Fire Marshal certification
DEP Open Burning Officer certification
HAZMAT First Responder
Valid Connecticut Driver's License
