Role Summary
We’re seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead to help us attract, screen, hire, and onboard a diverse pool of qualified and capable candidates for various roles in the company. This role will also be responsible for foundational HR responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, excellent communication and organizational skills, an ability to devise proactively sourcing strategies for potential applicants, and fulfilling basic HR functions. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across various departments.
Experience recruiting talent within the fields of engineering, energy, and/or sustainability is strongly preferred but not required. In the near term, key positions for recruitment include but are not limited to: Energy Efficiency Engineers, Energy & Sustainability Program Leads (Mid-Sr. Level), Energy & Sustainability and Specialists (Jr. Level), Customer Service Representatives, and Software Developers.
We are currently seeking a full-time employee; However, we are open to discussions with candidates seeking part-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition - 90% of time
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the candidate recruitment process – prioritizing a highly qualified and diverse talent pool
- Collaborates with company leadership and department managers to identify and draft detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
- Uses traditional (i.e. Indeed, LinkedIn) and non-traditional techniques to identify and attract both active and passive candidates – conducting searches through creative sourcing techniques including social media, job posting boards, cold-calling, networking, internet mining, professional networking sites, university recruiting, etc.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates to advance to formal interviews with the hiring manager(s)
- Schedules interviews; Oversees preparation of questions and other hiring and selection materials; Maintains records of all materials used for recruitment and during the interview process; Follows up with candidates and hiring manager to obtain feedback regarding both the recruiting process and candidate job fit
- Collaborates with company leadership and/or the hiring manager during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Fulfills duties for US based hiring addition to offshore, non-US based contractors
Human Resources - 10% of time
- Organizes and leads new employee onboarding functions
- Conducts exit interviews with terminating employees
- Administers employee benefits, HR policy deployment, and relevant employee communications
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with preference for focus on human resources (or similar)
- SHRM certification a plus
- Minimum 5 years HR experience, with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various sourcing techniques and evaluation methods
- Proficiency with social media (including LinkedIn Talent Solutions), CV databases, and professional networks
- High energy, passionate individual who loves people and loves recruiting
- Strong client-service capabilities with thorough follow-up and organizational abilities
- Strong ability to interview and screen candidates for functional and cultural fit.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to understand the business and industry in short order, and be able to develop and execute appropriate recruiting plans
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
Experience
- Accounting: 5 years
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with payroll
- Experience with other computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
Compensation
Compensation is dependent on experience but includes competitive pay ($80,000-$95,000), a hybrid work schedule, annual bonus potential, generous vacation days, as well as a matching 401K package.
