In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers by assisting with patient care and administrative tasks. You'll leverage your clinical skills and knowledge to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience, with a particular focus on expert blood draw procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
• Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
• At least 1 year of experience working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
• Proven ability to perform preliminary physical tests, take vital signs, and prepare patient histories.
• Expertise with blood draws and venipuncture.
• Experience with Quest Diagnostics laboratory submissions.
• be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for efficient and accurate blood draws (typically 1-5 tubes per patient)
