About this Position:

TJFACT is seeking to hire an Personal Financial Readiness Core Compliance Expert (CCE) to join our Team in Montgomery, AL! This position is contingent upon awarding the contract. Candidate will provide support functions for the operations and programs of the Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at the 55 South Mitchell Street. Maxwell Air Force Base, AL, United States. 36112

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Offer information, education, and personal financial counseling to support Military individuals and families in maintaining family readiness.
  • Develop and implement financial literacy programs, starting with foundational training at the beginning of Military careers and continuing throughout their careers.
  • Conduct mandatory touchpoints for financial readiness, covering various milestones such as first duty station training, Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) vesting, continuation pay, transition, change of station, pre/post deployment, marriage, divorce, birth of the first child, disabling sickness or condition, subsequent duty station, lump sum eligibility, and promotion in accordance with DAFI 36-3009.
  • Stay current with the latest innovations and programs from both civil and military sectors, and integrate them into existing offerings.
  • Assist members in establishing extended absence financial plans for extended deployments upon request.
  • Provide education on basic financial skills, savings, and investing for future goals, as well as conduct consumer issues briefings, ancillary workshops, and referrals for matters such as home buying, selling, renting, tax implications, and shipment/storage of household goods.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving potential violations of consumer rights, providing information on available remedies, and referring cases to appropriate authorities for further assistance.
  • Conduct personal financial analysis for parents seeking a childcare hardship waiver (fee reduction), without requiring a recommendation of approval or disapproval from Military & Family Readiness staff.
  • Serve as the installation-level administrator for the myVECTOR Financial Readiness Dashboard (or its replacement).
  • Provide monthly status reports (CDRL 0108) through the Flight Chief to the FSS Commander.
  • Act as the focal point for ensuring Unit Administrators are assigned and work with units and Unit Commanders to ensure each unit assigns a Unit Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) certification as certified by AFCPE
  • Attendance at DoD Financial Readiness Training Symposium (annually)

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated completion of 30 Continuing Education Units (CEU) bi-annually
  • Proven experience offering information, education, and personal financial counseling to Military, individuals, and families.
  • Familiarity with providing mandatory touchpoints for financial readiness at various career stages and life events.
  • Ability to assist members with establishing extended absence financial plans for deployments.
  • Proficiency in providing basic financial skills, savings and investing guidance, consumer issues briefings, and ancillary workshops.
  • Knowledge of home buying, selling, renting, tax implications, and shipment/storage of household goods
  • Competence in identifying and resolving potential violations of consumer rights, including referral to appropriate authorities.
  • Experience as an installation-level administrator for the myVECTOR Financial Readiness Dashboard (or equivalent)
  • Capable of providing monthly status reports through the Flight Chief to the FSS Commander
  • Skill in serving as a focal point to ensure Unit Administrators are assigned and working with units and Unit Commanders to ensure each unit assigns a Unit Administrator
