Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical or dental office setting. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Duties:

- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed

- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar

- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries

- Collect and verify patient insurance information

- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks

- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information

- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed

- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits

- Provide support to healthcare professionals during patient examinations or procedures

- Follow up with patients regarding test results or treatment plans

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a medical office or providing medical administrative support is preferred

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is highly desirable

- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
