Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 Base Commission/month
Travel Percentage: 85%

As an HVAC Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers and vendor accounts while carrying out the company’s mission of creating and retaining customers in an effort to grow Torrco's HVAC business.

Job Details


Main Responsibilities:

  • Business development activities, lead generation, cultivate strong professional relationships with our referral sources and trade partners.
  • Efficiently communicate with customers on an ongoing basis in a professional manner in person, on the phone or via email.
  • Make and track proactive sales and service calls on assigned customers (HVAC, plumbing & mechanical contractors, etc.).
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of our product lines and stay current on changes and improvements of those lines in order to provide knowledge expertise, answer product questions, upsell and provide solutions to our customer's needs.
  • Work actively with other sales teams on account planning and provide information to grow accounts.
  • Achieve sales goals set by management.
  • Enter orders and quotations completely and accurately in ERP system.
  • Prepare bids and conduct sales call follow-up.
  • Help handle customer service issues including problems with returns, invoices, pricing, deliveries, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years in similar Outside Sales role preferred.
  • A moderate level of product and service expertise is essential, prior experience in HVAC Sales or in the HVAC field is preferred but not required, Torrco provides training.
  • Wholesale industry experience a plus.
  • Sales ability/persuasiveness to become skilled at selling and promoting our product/product lines.
  • Must possess positive and professional attitude.
  • Problem solving, leadership and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy and smartphone skills needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to drive to and from customer locations and/or other Torrco branches on a daily basis.
  • Required to talk and understand English, read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material and/or payment processing.

Hours for the position are typically Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. May vary based on business need. 

Compensation is base weekly salary monthly commission
