Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Software Tester Engineer to support the testing and verification of Army Ground Diagnostic software.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the development of test plans and documents for functional testing of all software and software upgrades to the software application
• Ensure that all test plans are executed successfully and as intended as part of FQT
• Work within the development process to log software issues or defects as well as updates to processes and documentation
• Provide input for weekly status and customer presentations
• Translate new capabilities into operationally testable criteria
• Support the development of analysis plans including system requirements, test measures, test approaches and testable criteria
• Support the execution of testing including regression testing, system installation and checkout (IC), IV&V, before all software releases
• Support the deriving of functional requirements
• Support evaluation of and testing of new or modified software
• Write/revise/verify test standards, monitor performance metrics during testing, utilizing various testing software
• Provide input for weekly status and customer presentations

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, with 5 years of related testing experience. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of the education requirement.
• Must have a deep understanding of computer programming and software testing principles.
• Ability to work within an Agile environment and be responsible for creating artifacts and documentation in regard to the quality and testing procedures.
• Experience working within the Army Ground testing community.
• Experience with Information Assurance (IA) requirements for deploying applications in a DOD environment is a plus.
