Topy America Inc is Hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician Near Frankfort, KY

TOPY America INC is now hiring maintenance technicians for Night Shifts in our Frankfort Kentucky Location! TOPY is a world class manufacturer of steel wheels for a variety of automotive manufacturers including General Motors, Ford, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru. Come join our TEAM!

Maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of mechanical systems, apparatus, and mechanical components of machinery and equipment.

Starting pay is dependent on skills and experience. Base pay range is 30.08-36.32/ hour. In addition to base pay, shift premiums are provided to off shifts. Night shift premium is $1.45.

Training on 1st shift (8am-4:30pm M-F) for 1 to 2 months, then go to 12 hour night shift (8pm-8:30am 3 days 1 week, 4 days the next).

Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Dismantles devices/machines to gain access to and remove defective parts and reassembles devices/machines, using hoists, power tools, hand tools, chain falls, jack, crane, or hoist.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Communicates with or assists other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts or equipment.
  • Reads work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Records and maintains production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
  • Examines and repairs auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, valves, hoses, and compressors.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on lubrication, pneumatic, electrical, and other systems.

Abilities:

  • Learn production processes for better troubleshooting
  • Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Reach above and below shoulder height.
  • Climb stairs and ladders

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Industrial electrical, mechanical, and plant utility systems
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, PLC, and grease systems
  • Factory utilities such as compressed air, cooling towers, natural gas, water, electrical switchgear, lighting, power distribution, etc.

Working Conditions:

Daily exposure to the extremes of temperature, noise, dust, and vibration of plant processing equipment, forklift traffic, and oily/wet production floors.
