TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire a quality technician for a great company in the Delmont/ Export area. This is a contract to hire Afternoon shift Position.
This position requires performing a multitude of hands on quality checks and documentation work for well established plastics manufacturer.

This position does involve working weekends. You will still get 2 consecutive days off work, most times days off will be Friday and Saturday or Sunday and Monday.
Hours: 8am to 4pm, Overtime is available in this position
Starting pay rate = $18 per hour including your shift differential
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis or testing.
• Sort non-retained samples by color and take to grinder.
• Enter weights, rates and quality data in computer.
• Maintain sample room storage.
• Perform quality checks on extrusion lines.
• Retrieve all necessary data for production documentation.
• Providing information to supervisors and co-workers
• Retain samples of product returned by customers for CCR meeting.
• Audit QA drawings and data point lists for errors or wear, update when necessary.
• Generate and update QC checklists for drawings.
• Maintain a list of all parts and which customer they belong to, update books when necessary.
• Maintain QC samples, drawings and fit to’s.
• Maintain sample cabinets
• Assist in investigation of CCR’s and sorting product.
• Analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous quality inspection or auditing experience
• Ability to use calipers, tape measure, squares
• Ability to read blueprints or part drawings
• Excellent safety & attendance practices
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills

• Prolonged periods standing
• lifting of up to 20-30lbs
