TOPS Staffing has a great opportunity with a growing client in the Mars, Pa area of Pittsburgh.
We are looking for candidates with experience operating production machines such as stainless steel slitter machines and doing material handling in a manufacturing environment.

Currently hiring for both daylight and overnight shifts.

Job Details:
Contract to hire
Work schedule: 3 days on and 3 days off schedule
Hours: Daylight - 7am to 7pm or Night shift - 7pm to 7am

Starting pay rate: $20/hr to $25/hr

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery, primarily a stainless steel slitter machine
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders safely
• Prepare raw materials for production runs, verify customer order requirements to material and production schedule
• Work as a team to complete production set ups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job
• Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process
• Visually inspect raw & finished coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.)
• Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.)
• This may include driving a forklift or assisting a forklift driver

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous slitter/machine operation experience preferred
• Prior experience working in production is preferred
• Ability to work independently or as a team

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Position requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and standing in order to perform job duties
• Some lifting of up to 45lbs on occasion
