Tomenson Machine Works is Hiring a CNC Operator (2:30PM - 11:00PM) Near Charles, IL

We are looking for a Entry Level CNC Operator for our second shift. The hours for this shift are M-F 2:30PM - 11:00PM (Mandatory). Overtime, which is never mandatory, is available during the week (11:00PM - 1:00AM) and weekend (Saturday 1:30PM - 10:00PM) upon completion of training.

This role requires the employee to learn the basics of CNC machining.

The primary function of this role will be loading/unloading raw materials into a CNC machine. It will also involve inspection of parts, communication, and simple checks of CNC machine.

Requirements

  1. Communicate and understand work instructions both verbally and written in basic English
  2. Ability to consistently show up to work
  3. Ability to learn blueprint reading
  4. Ability to learn measuring equipment
  5. Ability to learn about CNC machinery
  6. Ability to lift 60 LBS. occasionally
  7. Physical demands (Heavy lifting, balancing, kneeling, crouching)
  8. Ability to work in an un-air conditioned facility
  9. The ability to work in a high noise level environment
  10. The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
  11. Ability to stand for 8 hours, walk and reach with hands and arms.
  12. Ability to operate iPad/tablet technology
  13. Basic computer/technical skills
  14. Strong work ethic / Positive attitude / Self-motivated
