Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Manager to oversee the operations of our housing facilities. The Housing Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the properties, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and providing support to residents. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires excellent organizational skills, crisis management abilities, and a strong commitment to helping individuals in need. Duties: - Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and resident relations - Ensure compliance with all applicable housing regulations and programs, such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) - Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for residents - Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of property management processes - Coordinate with social service agencies to provide support services to residents, including addiction counseling, mental health services, and job placement assistance - Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage residents in goal-setting and self-improvement activities - Handle resident concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner - Maintain accurate records of property activities, including leasing agreements, maintenance requests, and financial transactions - Collaborate with community partners to develop resources and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management or a related field - Strong knowledge of housing regulations, including LIHTC guidelines - Experience working with individuals facing homelessness, addiction issues, or other challenges - Familiarity with property management software systems such as OneSite or Yardi - Excellent crisis management skills and ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism - Knowledge of social work principles and practices is highly desirable - Understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to housing management We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
