Duties:
- Prepare, serve. and train a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences

-Knowledge of green bean coffee roasting and the equipment used for roasting

-Knowledge of different levels of grinds for different coffee service including drip, pour over, French press, and espresso

-Build and cost out coffee and espresso menu
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and friendly service
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Assist with food preparation, such as baking pastries or sandwiches
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations

-Assist hiring and interviewing baristas and coffee employees

Skills:
- Previous experience in food service mgt and as a barista is preferred
- Knowledge of different coffee brewing methods and techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Strong sales skills to upsell products and promote specials or loyalty programs
- Proficiency in operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
