Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Providers. As a Direct Care Provider, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities (i.e., respite, habilitation, and attendant care). If you are compassionate, reliable, and have a passion for helping others, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications following proper protocols and guidelines, if applicable
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities
- Assist individuals in meeting their set goals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
Skills:
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures
- Understanding of respite, habilitation, attendant care
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ability to assist with transferring individuals as needed
- Strong understanding of activities of daily living and ability to provide assistance when necessary
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to record documentation
Requirements:
-Must be 18 years or older
-Must be able to pass required state background check
-Must be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/First, Article 9 and DCW training (provided by TLC Services)
-If willing to provide transportation, must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
-Must have a smartphone for clocking in and out
