This Sr. Manager/Manager (based on experience) will lead a team of experienced engineers responsible for the overall management, performance, and availability of the network, cloud platform, server OS, virtualization, VDI, hosts/chassis, storage, monitoring, data centers, disaster recovery, directory services, and data protection for the enterprise supporting critical business functions.
The role will interact and partner with infrastructure engineers and application developers to design, implement, and manage core IT systems. They will serve as a technical and functional subject matter expert across multiple areas of systems engineering. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for various technologies, leadership skills to manage team resources, build relationships, and leverage automation to drive innovation.
Critical Job Functions:
- Evaluate hardware and software for gaps and inefficiencies, making recommendations to address them.
- Maintain current knowledge and advise management on trends and available products.
- Define standards and procedures for work assignments.
- Complete tasks within schedule and budget while maintaining high quality.
- Resolve or escalate problems through proper channels.
- Drive team execution to contribute to the organization's success.
- Communicate key information to team and stakeholders timely.
- Maintain positive attitude, communication, and teamwork.
- Determine/monitor training, development, and performance management.
- Build team capacity by identifying and addressing skill gaps.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
- Manage budgetary needs and participate in budget process.
